Barre (or ballet-inspired) workouts are typically low-impact and help develop total-body flexibility, strength and coordination, making them a fantastic way to get fit! If you've been wanting to try a barre workout, this is the perfect place to start! 
Pull up a sturdy, high-back chair and join me for this quick, total body-sculpting barre session. We'll be building into the exercises gradually, so just do your best, listen to your body and stick with the versions of the exercises that work best for your current fitness level.

I really liked this. I just wish there was a way to track calories burned on SP Fitness Tracker. I'm not sure how to do that. Report
I tried her 30-minute "knee-friendly" barre workout, but had to pivot one foot at a time, since doing both on carpet stressed my knees. Then the twisting plank & tricep dips hurt wrists and elbows to the point of tears. I'll never try that again! Report
I took a class like this for about four months. It was interesting. Men were telling me it was an easy, girly class. They admitted they had never taken one. Though they insisted it was a class for delicate girls. Report
This was a great workout! It definitely felt like ballet class, but more intense. I think my legs will be sore tomorrow...thank you!!! Report
I think this would have been effective for me had I not started cracking up over how much the front of my thighs were burning. I had to pause and laugh it out... but belly laughs burn calories too so no complaints here. *grin* I look forward to trying this one again and moving on to the next. Report
Seems like a good routine but the living room setting is a bit distracting. You can't really see what your legs are doing. A better option would be at a studio Report

This was very timely; I just posted in my blog how I am planning to switch from traditional cardio/strength workouts to something I truly enjoy -- dance! Don't let the 'barre' label fool you -- I was really working throughout. I look forward to trying Jessica's other ballet workouts. Report
