I buy 4# bags of frozen fruit at Walmart for $7 a bag, and keep them in the fresher. I put the pieces in a paper cup, and munch them late at night while watching a movie, instead of a HIGH calorie snack. You can't eat it fast when it is frozen. Report
I've just started making my PB&J with sliced fresh strawberries instead of jelly - it surprised me how good it was that way. I'm planning on trying it with slice apples next. Report

I tend to go for the salty. If I eat something sweet, it tends to be grapes or yogurt or a cereal bar. Thanks for the ideas. I need to think out of my little box! Report
I am always hungry at that time unless I had a very filling lunch. I wish i could bring nuts to school but I can't. We have a high amount of anaphylactic (sp.) kids and we have a policy that says no nuts or nut products on premises. I generally have my danon yogourt at that time. If I don't eat at school around that time, I'll be starving when I get home and I'll go to town on bad stuff. Report

I bring some milk to work and heat it with water and a sugar-free hot chocolate. Even better is using my own cocoa and some stevia. I find if I chew, it sets me off eating more. In Volumetrics, Rollins says milk has been found to satiate well, and I find it's true with my little treat. Report

All Bran Mulit-Grain Crackers with thawed, no sugar added strawberries or peaches. Crackers are good with baby carrots too and LOTS of crunch!!!! Report

I eat Vitalicious muffin tops - pomegranite/chocolate taste the most decadent of the flavors I have tried. Then triple chocolate. They also have a fudgy peanut butter. another option is No-Pudge brownies, fat free made with yogurt only. Report

While it's more of an after dinner treat for our household, we'll often take 2 tablespoons of Trader Joes chunky peanut butter and mix in 1 tablespoon of mesquite honey & give 1 stir. The nibbling of the treat lasts 5+ minutes, has manageable calories, and overall is more healthy than so many things we've left in the past. Report
I've got to remember those ideas! I wonder if instead of vanilla pudding and strawberries, how about fat free chocolate pudding and cherries? I usually get the craving after dinner. I tried keeping some sugar free Russell Stover's around here but I alway end up eating too many. So much for that idea. I've found though that when I eat a banana I don't get sugar cravings at all that day. Weird... Report

If I want a sweet treat I make myself a protein smoothie. The protein powder I add makes it filling, and the fruit in it quells my sweet tooth! Report

At work I have 12 raw almonds and one Dove dark chocolate in snack baggies. I usually take small bites of the chocolate while at my desk and alternate with an almond or two - tastes quite a bit like having a rich candy bar, but good for you.

I also keep single serving yougurts in the fridge as well as a few peices of fresh fruit.

I like mixing 1 tbsp creamy peanut butter and 1 tbsp nutella. I dip my apple slices or some celery in the mixture ... yum! Report

Chocolate is definitely a weakness for me. I find that the Fibre One chocolate and oat bars are great when I just can't live without it. The Peanut Butter Oat are perfect for that salty-sweet craving. Report

An apple with peanut butter. For some reason pb always cures my chocolate cravings, which is weird. But its a good way to get in another fruit, but just the apple is never enough, and the pb helps it "stick" until i get home, work out, and make dinner. Report
