Personal Information:
My name is Tina. I live in southwest Indiana with my high school sweetie and best friend and hubby for 42 years. We have 2 grown children and 3 grandchildren who are the light of our lives. I like photography and cooking. I have been cooking professionally since 1987 and still love to whip up an interesting meal.

Other Information:
Whose words these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Stopping By Woods On a Snowy Evening written by Robert Frost in 1922

Tina! It was so sweet of you to remember my hospital release date! Yes, I came home on the 15th and immediately started overdoing things. I thought I could resume my former role as boss of the house, cooking, cleaning, washing clothes. Bad idea! I caused myself a little setback and therefore decided to accept the help of my husband and daughter Kana, who lives with us. I set up a throne on the sofa from which I could give orders, and it has been wonderful to be waited on hand and foot! I believe this is the first time in at least twenty years that I've had this kind of rest, and it feels good, despite the lingering leg pain.

Rehabilitation is harder to do at home. I have to resist the temptation to skip it, because it does cause pain and discomfort. I wish I could get a therapist to come to my house, but I was fortunate to enjoy two weeks of in-house therapy at the hospital, so I can't use the excuse of not knowing how to do the exercises. I'm optimistic that the pain will continue to subside.

I hope you are getting better every day. Let's hang in there as we get closer and closer to an end to the discomfort. It'll be so worth it very soon!

Thank you for reading my blog “Take the time – thank you card 53 years late”
This past year has brought back so many memories of those who have helped me through the years. So important to thank them before it’s too late.
