CHOOSING Health is to Take the High Road~(read on)

ANKYLOSING SPONDYLITIS: That is the diagnosis given me when I was 28 years old! Was told by an Orthopedist that I would be crippled and in a wheel chair permanently in my forties and be disabled. I refused to accept that 'dooms day' sentence ..... After defying the crippling effects this brings, with my spine completely fused , I went through unbelievable pain and still have stiffness but ..... many years later, I continue working in health care full time, have centered my life around fitness and exercise and beat all odds!~A rheumatologist who treated me remarked, " whatever you are doing keep it up" ...(swimming and lots of walking) plus most of all, I am a believer.... And my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ has brought me through much peril into a place of victory and fulfillment..

It was really nice and I guess, meant to be that we went for breakfast this morning. It was Jas’ birthday and another gentleman (who was there w/his wife) shared it was HIS birthday as well and he was also 68. So we made a party of it. Lots of fun. The owners sent a tiny little cake! Soooo sweet. Just love that place.

HOPE the hair cut went well. Always feels good to get pampered!

Have an appointment for my hearing aide fitting on Wednesday this week. I hope it works!

It's snowing to beat the band. UGH! I guess tomorrow's cardio and strength training will be shoveling. That's all right. We're prepared.

HUGS and hope you have a good weekend.

Friday: Decided we’ll probably go to breakfast this morning as the weather looks pretty nasty tomorrow morning. And today is Jas’ 68th birthday! Happy birthday, sweetie!

Had a nice time catching up w/Clara. She surely is busy!

    HUGS and TGIF!

With all those pictures of cornfields, and knowing you find great pleasure in writing, I thought you were being purposeful in your use of maize. Of course, there are people here who have no idea what maize is, nor remember studying it as a food for the Native Americans.

It is important that we forgive ourselves for making mistakes. We need to learn from our errors and move on.
