I am 25 years old. I have always had weight on me since I was born but for 4 months. I was so happy to be that thin. I thought I was the sexiest thing alive at times and then the fastest at other times. I got pregnant and gained weight, over 100 pounds. I learned my lesson to not think I am fat at 150 pounds.
After I had my last child in August 2006. I came home weighing 259. When she was three weeks old I started to walk my neighbor hood. I was loosing weight. I joined SP at 230 and have been using the tools to lose weight since.
I know what is in store for me if I don't lose the weight and I don't want to face it. My father had a heart attack at 45. My mom had a mass on her heart. There are a lot of health problems on both sides of my family and I don't want to have health problems. I want to be happy, healthy, and satisfied with what I have done with my health.

My Goals:
I wanted to be at 220 and I did it at the end of Feb. I want to be at 200 and I did it in late April.
My next goal is to be at 190 so I don't have to pay any more for me being obese for medical insurance.
I want to get to 180. It was around here that I was for most of my youth.
I want to get between 150-160.

My 10 percent goals are 233, 210, 189, 170, and 153.

My Program:
I have been exercising at home and at the gym. I do whatever I have time for. I drink water. I keep track of the calories that I consume and what I burn.

Personal Information:

One thing that I am personally proud of. Is that I was fat. I earned things to easy and there for took advantage of myself. Now I am having to really work at something that I want to do for myself. I can say now that I know what hard work really is and the pain and happiness that comes along with it. I am not as embarrassed about myself as I use to be. I will wear clothes that show my body. I know I am slimmer and I am getting happier with my body. I know if I died today that I am proud of myself for what I have done to better myself.

Other Information:
I have been married for over 6 years. I have three kids. I want to be that sexy mommy.
I work at two jobs. I am a CSR and a Pharmacy Tech.

    WELCOME to Sparks and OO
    You're no longer alone!
You’ve most definitely come to the right place!
You’re about to make many a new friend!
All of whom are also turning their lives around and will be there to support, and
motivate! I wish you nothing but the best of success! So glad you have joined us!
1.If there was ever a time to dare, to make a difference, to embark on something worth doing, IT IS NOW. Not for any grand cause, necessarily...but for something that tugs at your heart, something that's your inspiration, something that's your dream.

You owe it to yourself to make your days here count. HAVE FUN. DIG DEEP. STRETCH. DREAM BIG. Know, though, that things worth doing seldom come easy. There will be good days. And there will be bad days. There will be times when you want to turn around, pack it up, and call it quits. Those times tell you that you are pushing yourself, that you are not afraid to learn by trying.

PERSIST. Because with an idea, determination, and the right tools, you can do great things. Let your instincts, your intellect, and your heart, guide you.

TRUST. Believe in the incredible power of the human mind. Of doing something that makes a difference. Of working hard. Of laughing and hoping. Of lazy afternoons. Of lasting friends. Of all the things that will cross your path this year.

The start of something new brings the hope of something great. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE There is only one you. And you will pass this way only once. Do it right.

    2. Your presence is a present to the world
    2. You're unique and one of a kind
    3. Your life can be what you want it to be
    4. Take the days just one at a time
    5. Count your blessings, not your troubles
    6. You'll make it through with whatever comes along
    7. Within you are so many answers
    8. Understand, have courage, be strong
    9. Don't put limits on yourself
    10. So many dreams are waiting to be realized
    11. Decisions are too important to leave to chance
    12. Reach for your peak, your goal, your prize
    13. Nothing wastes more energy than worrying
    14. The longer one carries a problem, the heavier it gets
    15. Don't take things too seriously
    16. Live a life of serenity
    17. Not a life of regrets
    18. Remember that a little love goes a long way
    19. Remember that a lot goes for ever
    20. Remember that friendship is a wise investment
    21. Life's treasures are people together
    22. Realize that it's never too lateDo ordinary things in an extraordinary way
    23. Have health, hope and happiness
    24. Take the time to wish upon a star
And don't ever forget for even a day how very special you are.

Hello ! I'm thrilled that you've joined us!! Warm welcomes to Overcoming Obstacles!" (A place where people share successes, personal stories, insight, motivation, jokes, recipes, common goals and LOVE) I can recommend reading some of the past posts, just to become familiar with who is who, etc. Then, maybe post an obstacle you're overcoming, or have overcome. There are quite a few different topics listed, like "jokes" or "motivation", "wheres' everyone from", "weigh in room" etc.... if you like, I hope you will come and introduce yourself in the "disabilities group forum" topic, and reply to any of the ones already created. There are many little challenges posted too, to give us a little "spark". The "disabilities group forum" is the main discussion area, even though many of the team doesn't have a disability, and some do, it is for everyone to congregate in, and know they are NOT alone.
    {PLEASE, FEEL FREE TO INVITE YOUR FRIENDS IN TOO :o)}

There are challenges going on every week, some are on going, some are for a week, or a month..if you would like to create a challenge , please feel free to sparkmail me by Thursday, and I am able to add it to the list of challenges on my sparkpage :o) & to have a structured schedule for every week..

~ Challenges are now listed at the bottom of my sparkpage, to make it easier to find the challenges that may suit your needs~

I want you to know, too.. I was a councellor before I ended up in my wheelchair, and if you ever want to vent, or want insight in any way at all.. I hope you will feel free and confident to contact me at any time..... sparkmail is an awesome feature :o)

I created this forum out of love, and that's what you will find.." angels who carry one another to our goals."

I really look forward to reading your posts:o)

My prayer is this: Overcoming Obstacles becomes a meeting place for every sparkpeople.com member to congregate in. (even if it's to come and say hello, or share a smile, and if time or other groups are " an obstacle" then "O.O." should be that place!.)

    Love, Prayers, and TICKLES,
    CAROL.

Hello. I was just browsing the site, and came across your page.
I wanted to take this opportunity to invite you to our team. It is called "OVERCOMING OBSTACLES".
It is a forum that my wife (Tickle*Me*Pink-aka Carol) formed. At first, it was for people with a disabitliy, but now it's expanded to everyone..disability or no disability. As a matter of fact, more then 1/2 of the group do not have a disability. Carol says "well, if there are angels, they're all here because it's like a bunch of angels carrying all of us to our goals"

The link is located on my sparkpage, (it's a cartoon drawing of my wife in her wheelchair, with a dalmation chasing some diet soda balloons LOL she drew it herself!) and the main discussion room is still named "disabilties group".
People post their successes in life, their obstacles, their personal stories, motivation to succeed, advice, different health obstacles, parents' topics, different age rooms, losing baby fat, books insight, crafts, literary, recipes, motivation..etc.etc..and there's even a thread for jokes(to name only a few).. There are many little challenges posted , to give us a little added "spark", too.. (maybe you can come up with a challenge too--all you need to do is to contact Tickle*Me*Pink through sparkmail or check out her sparkpage..)..if you don't feel up to a challenge for now, you will definately find comfort and encouragement in any of the rooms you browse in...

I was hoping that you will click the link, join the group, and come to post in the main room,("disabilities group forum") & maybe share some of your own successes, obstacles, goals, etc..for us to all get aquainted, better. As you read some of the posts in there, you will see some amazing accomplishments, before and after joining sparkpeople. Spark coach Jen is a member of our team, also, and is willing to help everyone.

We hope to welcome you! (my wish is that everyone here on sparkpeople has a place to meet.(.wether they attend to other groups, that's always okay)..but I feel it is important that there is a place like that..PLEASE feel freeee to invite your friends in with you..I know they'll be almost as delighted as we are to welcome you to the" place where people with "spark" congregate"!! )
I hope you will click on my sparkpage, and add a comment if you need any questions answerred. (or you can sparkmail Carol or myself..we are more then willing to help)

    Jack
p.s.(sometimes when I click on post comment, my message I want to put on your page may come out more then once. If this does happen, please forgive me in advance, also, I am French, and try my best to translate to English, so I wrote this before I found your page, so I could spell check it, and copy and paste it here for you, once it was okay. If there are still some mistakes, I appologise.)

.I admit.. this invite is a bit long..you'll be surprised though..when you read my posts in the forum..they are short LOL well.. except for some of the jokes..which I am trying to shorten LOL (I just wanted to tell you as much as I could here, {actually so much more I could say about the O.O forum..just don't want to take up all that room on your page LOL} to make you comfortable and familiar and to feel welcomed)
