Dennet - I'm happy to hear my comment meant enough to you to "snag" it. Just keep reminding yourself that you're worth all the effort it takes to stay healthy.

Thanks for the kind thoughts about my sickness. It must have been food poisioning 'cause it hit me hard in the GI but was of relatively short duration. I missed my scheduled long slow run but got it done today with just a tad of nausea here and there. I'm SO HAPPY that I got to run! I'll just shift everything one day this week and be back on track next Monday.

Thanks for the tips for my first half marathon. I plan on taking it WAY easy so I will enjoy the experience and have a chance at improving on my PR. I have juvenile diabetes and I'm on an insulin pump; if I can work out the kinks of juggling my metabolism and finish the race I will feel like an Olympic gold medalist no matter what my time turns out to be. I just don't want to bonk.
