My name is Laureli, and I am a recovering lazy overeater.

I had been fooling myself for awhile, and not realizing that I had become unmotivated and had been steadily gaining weight and getting out of shape fast! I knew that things were getting out of hand and the signs of depression were there. I took care of most of the mental aspect but it took for me to see the scale hit over 200lbs before my wake up call, that I was jeopardizing my health, as well as my self esteem (which was already pretty low) .

Enough of this! I have finally decided to get off of the pity pot, and reclaim my health and physical well-being!

I currently work at home, but that's a story for another day. I have a goal in mind and working on it daily. Some days it is easy, some days quite the struggle. That is why I am here!

My Goals:
My goals have changed:

Now I want to continue on the steady decline of inches of gurth from my body! As well as to make peace with the evil entity, known as "the scale", and silence the screaming of it everytime I step on it.

If I keep on doing what I am doing, but just do more if it; I should accomplish my goal weight.

My Program:
I have joined this group for support. I need to be held accountable at times, and be with people struggling with the same problem that I have.

I bought a treadmill and force myself to get on it for at least 30 4-5 days a week;

Jillian Michaels 30 day shred (still on level 1) doing it 3-4 days a week and I am seeing results!,

10 minute swiss ball programs trying for 3-4 days a week.

Trying to get out an ride my bike at least twice a week for 7 miles at a time.

Added mounting flights of stairs to the program.

Also, its a biggie, watch my portion size and drink 8 glasses of water daily.

Still have some lower back pain, but it is getting better every day as I am gaining stamina in the abs and loosing the belly tire.

I am 43 years old, and 5 ft tall.
I live in Ojai, CA
Divorced, w 2 dogs.

    Oh, you're so welcome. It was my pleasure. I'm always glad when I take a few extra moments to reach out to someone I haven't talked to before.

    Glad you don't feel alone anymore. I know how that sucks. I think Spark is pretty awesome and it's a lot of fun. I couldn't possibly imagine trying to do this by myself.

    Hey Chickee,

    I am straying a bit - doing a lot of traveling right now. I am trying to make better choices but this week is steady travel so I will struggle a bit. As for Feb... looking forward to it too... as for 2 weeks, I can only do one... 'cause of family, work and finances! Hope that's ok with you... they just posted one $199 in St. Croix for a week, not including flight, but it only lasts until December... will keep you posted on the next one.
