UPDATE: ~~October 2014: here we go again! I restarted running during the summer. I'm not as diligent as I used to be (due to now having a toddler, a husband, a house, a dog, a cat and a full time job), but I'm doing my best. I also started counting my calories during my break at work (so only M-F) and hopefully I'll get to around 52 kg (115 lbs) again.

I live in the US since August 2005 and gained about 10 pounds in the first 3 months after I came here. I thought that US meant unhealthy food, but now I understand that that's not true. I hope to be get to 110 pounds so that I could feel good about myself. If I can get lower than that, it's great. If not, at least let me get rid of all the fat around my waist and thighs :)

I started my relationship with SP in November 2006, but at some point I stopped and wanted faster results. So I tried Atkins one more time. It worked (I got to 52 kg=116lb), but after I stopped, I realized I was missing carbs so much... And I gained all the weight back and more. So I started SP once again, more motivated this time and I intend to wait to see the results.
I restarted SP on 05/14/2007.
SW: 58.9 kg (130 lb)

12/02/2007: I hit my goal of 50 kg!!!

At that time my CW: 49.6 kg (109.3 lb)
GW: 50 kg (110.2 lb)

-Waist: 25.8"
-Hips: 34.3"
-Thighs: 18.9"

~~04/10/2008: I got engaged!!!!

~~ 2/25/2010 - I got married in Las Vegas! I was 53.3 kg (or so) on my wedding day. I actually had to lose weight before my wedding (I wanted to get to less than 53 kg, but the scale did not want to go there... oh well...) due to an "huge" jump of about 2 kg since before the Holidays.

~~August 2010: got my doctoral degree and my first job!!
~~November 25, 2012: my baby girl (Kate Mira) was born; she immediately became the love of my life

Updated my goals on 10/21/2014, fighting to lose the baby weight (and some):
Goal 1: 56 kg (123 lbs)
(I am only 1.56m short=5'1")
Goal 2: 54 kg (119 lb)
Goal 3 (Final Goal): 52 kg (115 lbs)

My Program:
The recipe is simple:
-eat healthy and within my calorie range (track 5 days a week; try to eat when I'm hungry the other 2, about 300 calories per meal)
-drink at least 64oz water a day
-exercise on a regular basis (I'll try 2-3 days of running and walking the dog the other 5 days)

Personal Information:
I am from Romania and came to the US as a PhD student in economics. I finished the doctoral program in 2010 and got my first job as Assistant Professor in August 2010. My husband and I had our first baby in November 2012.

    I just noticed the picture of Kate on your page! She's beautiful!

    I am only sometimes diligent. I stopped counting calories last week and it's been a free for all. I'm sure I'll get yelled at again by the midwives at my appointment today for gaining too much weight. I get a lecture at just about every appointment. :)

    We don't know what we're having... we're going to wait until the baby's born. And I will definitely let you know how it goes having 2. We had the same worries - especially now that things are getting so much easier with an older kid!

    Hi, Alina! So nice to hear from you! Can you believe your daughter is 2 already? Isn't it crazy?!

    I'm here... but I'm actually expecting my 2nd child in February. I'm trying to log my calories because I was going a little nuts and was gaining too much weight. I plan to be super dedicated to getting back in shape once the baby is born so I am trying to avoid gaining 40 lbs like I did with the last pregnancy. Especially since I never did lose that final 5-10 pounds or so.

    I KNOW! We are NOT fat by any means. We are just normal really. I think the media has a lot to do with it. Also, my sister is 5'81/2" and weighs 106 pounds. Ya, she's REALLY thin but her build is completely different than mine. She WOULD LOOK chubby at 130 pounds. We have the same parents!!!

    Honestly, I don't have issues with my body except certain spots and one of them I can't or wont do anything about. Those would be my belly, too big, Upper arms, just need more definition & my boobs, WAY to SMALL! Other than that I'm fine with what iI look like.
