emoticon Thanks so much for all your tips and encouragement. I will keep all of those in mind when I practice the soprano tomorrow. I haven't played h er in 20 years, so I really am starting over on her. If you listened to Guns and Lovers on my You Tube , you heard what I sounded like on her 20 yrs ago. I played her through the whole show.

My pulmonologist also said playing sax was the best exercise I could do for my lungs.

I'm using the Fibercell reeds. I can't play on the regular reeds any more. They are too stiff and I don't have enough air. I'll see if they come in a 3. Never tried a 3 before.

Thanks again for all your help. I really appreciate it.and you! emoticon emoticon

Motivation is the art of getting people to do what you want them to do because they want to do it.

Thanks..I was going to ask you what you play. I can only imagine how difficult that must be to play. I'm still having problems with the soprano I thought I had my mouth placed correctly but certain notes still squeak or jump up an octave. I'm going to give it a rest for a few days and just stay with the alto.. Right now I'm not having fun playing the soprano. I know I'll get there..I'm just frustrated. emoticon

    Thanks. Which one?

I'm using a 2.5 fiber cell reed. They are easier for me to play on with my COPD.
What instrument do you play? I forgot. I think I told you my Dad was a music teacher/band director.

Have a great weekend. emoticon emoticon
