My name is Marie. I've been on SparkPeople since September 2009 but haven't been as much of a regular as I used to be. I can say the same about my gym dedication. I went from going 6-7 days a week to skipping whole weeks at a time or going a mere 1 day per week. My cardio is nothing like it used to be, neither is my weight lifting regimen. Sadly, neither is my body.

The tiny, 115 pound me is gone - but not for good. I've been struggling for close to a year now, slowly gaining almost all of the weight back that I worked so hard to lose. My motivation is practically diminished and with each passing day, I see more and more pounds adding up.

I have to put a stop to it and I've said it so many times before but it has to start somewhere. I have new goals and because 2011 is here (and I just booked a trip to the Bahamas for June!) I have to take back control of my life, my eating habits and my body..

My Goals:
I really want to be down to 115 pounds and have a toned stomach. I want to consistently feel good about myself and never feel fat or large ever again.


My Program:
I am rededicating myself to the gym and a healthy way of life. My diet consists of mostly fruits and veggies with lean proteins. I am getting my butt back to the gym and taking hot yoga as well.



Personal Information:
My name is Marie. I'm from Boston, Massachusetts and I recently graduated from Assumption College in Worcester, MA. I am a long-time competitive dancer and I dance professionally for a traveling company during the summer.


Other Information:
I love to dance, perform, cook, read, write and try my own recipes, spend a lot of time with my family, boyfriend and best friends. I appreciate good wine and good chocolate. I love to sleep but I don't get enough of it. I work 2 jobs and hope to go to frad school next year.

    Welcome to Spark, and best wishes on your journey. SP has a lot of great features and I suggest you take it slow and not become overwhelmed. Join some groups for motivation and support, and get to know your classmates!

    Have a great weekend, and feel free to have a piece of chocolate or two. It is a once a year event after all. Portion control is the most important thing to remember, and that this should be a lifestyle change, and not just a diet.
