There are no detours around obstacles

There isn't a meaningful goal that can be achieved, without facing obstacles and hurdles. It's an inevitable part of life's road to success. The more you come to grips with this, the faster you'll get where you want to go!

Instead of seeing difficulties as the end or your dreams, see them as part of the journey. View obstacles as challenges, which, once overcome, will bring you closer to your destination, Refuse to be stopped - keep focusing on where you want to go.

When the going gets tough, remind yourself that snags build wisdom, perseverance and strength, with this outlook your frustrations will transform to motivations and success will come your way more quickly.

I started on this journey in May 2011 at 420 lbs. At the time I was having a difficult time walking and a lot of pain,

My goal has been to lose 10% at a time and with the help of SP I finally achieved my first goal on July 10, 2012

    Hi Anna, I loved getting your message even thought it took me so long to reply, I gained a lot of my weight back and am trying harder now. I am a full time 24/7 caregiver seven days a week, for my mother. I am blessed I can do it as well as I do. with loads of love. So happy my mother at 94 can stay in her home she has lived in for 67 years. Keeping two homes clean is hard. As she ages there is more and more. She is happy for all her age people have passed but one. and she is older then mother. I sorry it took me so long but I have to be on my desk top to do this for some reason spark does not work as well on phone. Hope your happy and well. Bless you, Darcy emoticon emoticon emoticon

    Hi, working on myself is never ending. I am care giving 24/7 10 months now. I have gained and not feeling good. So I am changing how I think about food. At least trying. Hard to change but I know I would feel a lot better. I set in on a vegan class and was amazed that everyone with health problems were doing so much better and feeling so much younger. the two sitting next to me had been on insulin for over 27 years and now is off and controlling their diabetes with there diet (vegan) and exercise. They are following a book called How Not To Die. I have the book but what I really need is vegan recipes, tried and true. I had a banana, unsweetened cocoa sprinkle on it with pecans for breakfast. We are having salad with mixed greens, tomato's, cucumber, celery, avocado, nuts, and the juice of one lime, Himalayan salt and organic pepper. yummy. Also cook asparagus. Have a wonderful Week and hoping all is going well. V emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
