I used to feel better. I didn't hurt when I got up from a chair. I used to be able to sleep and wake up when I wasn't tired any more. I used to take walks in the country. I used to be able to go into a store and not need to lean on a shopping cart to catch my breath. I used to not have heart palpatations for no particular reason. I used to pick clothes to wear because they were fashionable and made me feel beautiful. I used to wear size seven high heels. I used to dance. I used to be able to sit anywhere, including on the ground. I used to do yoga shoulder stands and not watch as my middle rolled down to my chest. I used to have pretty arms and strong legs. I used to be able to play with my kids and my dogs. That was a long time ago. Then, over the long haul, I lost it. I lost it getting the job done, getting the kids raised, getting the divorce, getting...getting...and getting some more. It changes now. Now, it is getting healthy. I have tried before, but allowed myself to get distracted and off track for whatever seemed more important. I can't allow that anymore, my body which has always absorbed the load is no longer supporting the path of self destruction. This is a defining moment, either I put getting healthy first or it is a long way down. I am choosing up.

My Goals:
Mini goals:
Daily Blog
Daily Exercise routine
Daily meditation
Mid goals:
15 pound stages
Complete and hold a new challenging asana
Long Term Goals:
140 pounds
Breathe normally
Walk anywhere with my grandkids
Become a yoga instructor

My Program:
Eating is not usually the issue. It is paying attention to proportions and my complete and utter aversion to physical exercise.
I intend to add the exercise. I do love yoga which helps flexibility, but I need to add to that. The next month will be adding daily exercise.

Personal Information:
I am sixty, looking at post retirement. I am a workaholic which has been at the expense of my health. I would like to find a lifestyle that will change that. I still want a post retirement career, but one that will not add to the stress levels but add to a healthy life

Other Information:
I am hoping to build a post retirement career around writing. Don't have any idea how to do that at this point. I just "wanna on account of I wanna because" and my mother would say.
