Introduction Text My name is Arlene and I would like to lose a total of 95 pounds. My starting weight was 277 pounds and my goal weight is 180 pounds. I have lost 38 pounds so far since I have been a Sparkpeople member. I have Type 2 Diabetes. I have been able to get off of insulin because I change my eating habits and stop eating so many carbohydrates and high processed foods. I love deserts and this has been my temptation while I'm on my weight loss journey, but I would like to overcome this temptation. I said that I would only have deserts on special occasions instead of every day. For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future. I have plans to be thinner in the future and eat healthier right now and forever. Let the peace that Christ gives control your thinking, because you were all called together in one body to have peace always be thankful. Colossians 3:15 What's in the mind controls the body. Thought before action. Plan 1st and then act out your plans. I have the mind of Christ. The amazing thing about life is that you choose what you allow into it. Choice, Chance, Change! Facebook 12/17/13 January 5, 2014 to January 26, 2014, I am on a Daniel Fast with Generation Church. My daughter Francine attends this church and she is on the fast along with me. The Daniel Fast is similuar to a Vegan Diet. You can eat fruit, vegetables, Ezeikiel Bread, brown rice, beans, veggie burgers, drink protein shakes and juice. You can not eat no sugar, flour, meat, or nothing that comes from animal or birds. You can not eat any animal products. I have lost 6 pounds so far on this Daniel Fast and I feel amazing. As God is breathing new life into your spirit, the sadness is leaving and gladness is coming. Life is an echo. What you send out, comes back. What you sow, you reap. What you give you get. For people who are negative Embrace those who love you and whom you love, and rid yourself of those who will only bring you down. 7/12/16 - My weight is at 252 right now and I am try to get my weight at 180 pounds. Between 2009 and 2016 I have lost a total of 40 pounds and then I gained all of it back except for 10 pounds. This time I want to make a difference in the weight that I lose and keep it off. I know that I can not return to my old eating habits. I have to stop eating deserts except on special occations like birthdays and holidays. I am eating meat for lunch only and not for breakfast or dinner. I eat oatmeal every morning and I like that because it seems to keep my weight down. Always do your best. What you plant now you will harvest later. - Galations 6:7-8 If you work at losing weight. Every little step of the way. You will see weight lost in the end. Self-disciplines begins with the mastery of your thoughts. If you don't control what you think, you can't control what you do. Simply, self discipline enables you to think first and act afterwards. - Napoleon Hill Nothing is but that thinking makes it so. Shakespeare What the mind can conceive and believe man can achieve. Thought before action. What's in the mind, the body will follow. Success to eating healthy and living a healthy lifestyle. We can't control our weight, but we can control what we think, do and feel. Plan meals for the day every night before. Planning what you are going to eat before you eat will make you successful at dieting. I've seen to many victories, I can't let defeat have the last word. I count it victory. - The Williams Brothers Song From 267 to 247 this is victory. If you want to fly, you have to give up the things that weigh you down. Things that weigh me down: Negative thinking, processed foods, sugary foods, baked goods, large amounts of food, greasy foods, animal products, high calorie foods, high fat foods, and negative people. What you think you become. I will think about reaching my goal to become thinner. Eating Healthy every day. Mindful eating and think before I take that 1st bite. Meditate on the word of God. I'm flying without wings. Never stop trying. Never stop believing. Never give up. Your day will come. I will not stop trying to lose the weight. I want to lose a total of 70 pounds right now and my goal weight is 180 pounds. I have passed the exam for Senior Administrative Clerk 7/2016 and I am waiting for my promotion from God right now.

Lose 50 pounds by 12/30/16 Wear a size 14 dress size by June 2017. Eat healthy for the rest of my life. Get off my diabetes, blood pressure, and cholesterol medications.

Lower intake of pasta, potato, rice and bread. Eat fish 3 times per week or 5 days per week. Eat vegetables and fruit at least 3 servings each day. Stop eating process foods that are high in carbohydrates. Stop eating sweets Eat meat only for lunch Think before I eat each meal and be mindful of what I am eating. Walk each day for 30 minutes.

I have been married for 31 years. I have 3 beautiful daughters all in their 20s and I have one grand daughter age 6. I have worked at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power for 33 years as a Clerk Typist. I am from Los Angeles, California. I currently live in Moreno Valley, CA.
