I am 49 on the 18th of Jan 2011. I refuse to turn 50 telling myself "this is the year you get it together and become healthy and really live the life you choose" This is the year I will stop this slow suicide I've been on for the past 30 years. I am not a victim. I created this reality and now I am creating my new reality. I have 137 pounds to loose to be under 200 and bout 50 more after that. I am starting this new adventure with my husband Roy, who also has 100 plus pounds to loose. We are doing this and so can you!

Fitness Minutes: 2,140

My Goals:
I do most of my overeating in front of the TV or in the car to and form work. So my goal is to not eat at all in front of the TV and to not eat fast foods in the car on the way to and from work.I figure that will do it.


My Program:
My plan is to stay present when I eat with what I eat. Just like a smoker. If I have to overeat I will do it with just me and the food. Aware I am stuffing the food in and harming myself. I plan to eat keep it simple. Eat only when I am hungry and stop when I'm full.Just like normal weight people! :-)

Other Information:
My favorite color is Yellow. I love animals. We have 3 dogs and 2 cats and no kids by choise. We love kids just never felt we would be good parents. ( all our animals are rescue) We just moved back to my home state and to country life from arizona. We lived in the zone over 20 years, I miss it some. But this new life is good!

    emoticon and welcome to SP! This is a great community to hang out in and learn how to meet your goals. I love your pictures. I friended you because your comment about wanting to do the things your wt interferes with struck a cord with me. That is why I started this journey last September. My bulk was getting in the way of my head lol! Congrats on taking a great first step for yourself. A tip I might share if you don't mind is that SP can be overwhelming. If you can figure out the food tracker and start using it first you are doing yourself a huge favor. After a week or two of that start something else. And read, read, read. The wealth of info is fabulous. Well take care, and Spark On!

    I'm editing this because I forgot to add: Today I went snowshoeing. I've wanted to for years, but today I DID IT because I've been Sparking and am fit and able to. It was really cool. I offer this to you as encouragement and motivation to make a change that will bring you the happiness I experienced today...
