Hi, my name is Ash. Like most others here, I want and need to lose weight. I've been overweight all my life. And today is the start of a new me. I'm determined to lose this weight. Along with the extra weight I'd like to lose this low self esteme and lack of confidence. Being overweight isn't fun, I don't care how many women or men say "big is beautiful" or "we're not fat, we're PHAT (Pretty Hot and Tempting) I don't feel that way at all, and I'm tired of pretending I do. I walk around with a smile on my face like I'm happy, but inside I'm hurting.

Being overweight has taken a toll on my life. I don't wanna go out much because I'm ashamed. And I'm scared that I'll run into someone I haven't seen in a while will see how much BIGGER I've become over the years. I'm sick of seeing ppl in the mall and they greet me with a "wow you've gotten big" (Gee thanks for pointing that out, that sure makes me feel spectacular -_-)

I don't date, and I have few friends. I know weight shouldn't hinder someone from making friends or finding love, but I'm so self coucious I don't wanna go out and make friends. And when I do get enough confidence to go out on my "man hunt" I get a guy who stares me down and gives me a cute smile or wink making me think he's interested. Just to see his friends come along and they all share a laugh at my expense. Oh yea I know you see this in movies all the time, well hey, it happens in real life too.

So I'm making a change. I'm 20 yrs young, I need to get this done while I'm still able. I know I can do this. I sit and smile as I think of what my future holds. But I need support, I have no where or no one to turn to but the sparkpeople community. I know I have God on my side and I can always turn to him. But I'd also like to have a support team I can reach out to. We can encourage each other.

With that being said, I'd like to thank you for coming to my page and taking the time to read all I had to say. To God be the Glory! With him I know I can make it. God Bless =)

My Goals:
My goal is to get down to 180 by next Oct.
My weekly goal is to lose at least 2 lbs.
I'll do a combo of toning, strength training and cardio to help me burn fat and get lean.
I don't want to lose too fast, because slow and steady wins the race.


My Program:
I plan to eat under 1350 calories. I can't really afford too much healthy food because money is tight. But I know how to cut back on what I eat, and not eat too much junk. I'm gonna workout as much as I can, w/out wearing myself out.

and upload a bodyshot monthly

I love love love the show "The Office" boy I tell you that's the best show ever, super funny!
My fav food is potatoes, you can eat them in so many ways, but Imma have to cut back on them because... I'm trying to lose weight, duh lol.
I love to laugh and joke around, see I have a great sense of humor and I'd like to share it with others, that's why I need to get confident enough to go and have fun.
I like to play monopoly online @ pogo, fun.
I love R&B and contemporary Christian music, w/out music I'd go crazy, seriously!
