__Preface__
For as long as I can remember I've been trying to lose weight. It's gotten harder within the last few years because I have let it get out of hand. My closet consists of nothing but t-shirts and sweat pants, and I can never turn down sugar. I can't bring myself to exercise like I should, and fried, greasy chicken tenders is my favorite food.

These past few years are a blur. I'm amazed at how quickly the pounds came on. It's like it happened overnight, and no matter how hard I try to lose this weight, nothing happens. If anything, I gain. I am 22 years of age, and I weigh over 200 lbs.

I avoid people. cut conversations short. I stick in the shadows now, and never have fun with anything. this isn't what life is suppose to be. I'm 22, I should be in college, learning. and feeling good about myself, meeting new people.. which I once LOVED to do! I somehow stopped caring how I looked.. and that's not me.

There was a time when I was sure of myself. When I knew who I was, and what I was all about. It's weird how this weight can make me so unsure of who I am, or what my goals are in life. I don't want to lose myself. I don't want let my goals slip out of my hands because I can't grasp reality, or get in shape.

I want to be happy, I want to be confident, but most of all.. I want to be me; and I want to have a smile on my face. That's what brings me here, to this point. I have let my health and appearance get out of control, and I'm ready to fix that. I have tried numerous diets, but I can NEVER even get past the first week. I have a problem with grounding myself, and keeping it going. It shouldn't be this hard to take care of your body, it should be my first priority.

I'm getting tired of sitting on the sidelines, I wanna take the stage.

**February 13, 2011**
Wow, I created this profile in 2009. It is now 2011, and I am signing in for the first time in a long while. I was doing well, and then I got married (so happy), and before I knew it. Pregnant. I do not regret this, as I am the happiest I have ever been in my entire life. We now have a five and a half month old daughter, and she is our everything. This is more reason why I need to get healthy. I need to be healthy for my family, for myself, and our future. It is still the beginning of a new year, and I plan on getting this under control/fast. My husband does a music festival every year in our town, and I have approximately five months to lose a majority, if not all of my excess weight. Who wants to help? God knows I need the encouragement.

My Goals:
**Goals for 2011**
1. Find a hobby that I enjoy and want to progress in.
2. Meet my weight loss goal of 140 pounds.
3. Lower my blood pressure to normal.
4. Gain a stronger bond with everyone around me.
5. Be more patient.
6. Learn not to overreact over such small things.
7. Learn to be more cautious with my money.
8. Make exercise a PART of my life, and not an obligation.
9. Learn not to worry so much.
10. Not sleep so much, and try to stick with 6-8 hours.
11. Drink at least 64 ounces of water a day.
12. Become a SparkPeople Motivator.
13. Reach my goal weight, and look beautiful for my wedding in Nov.
14. Overcome shyness.
15. Have my clothes fit better.
16. Go shopping, and actually BUY clothes.
17. Stretch every morning.
18. Cut out Caffeine.
19. Boost Self-Confidence.
20. Gain my femininity back (I feel like I've lost that since I've gained).


My Program:
**Stage 2**
1. Exercise at least 45 minutes a day; 4 days a week.
2. Drink 8 glasses of water a day.
3. Completely cut out sodas.
4. Low Carb intake.
5. Lower my chocolate intake too (HUGE DEAL).
6. Cut back--Portion IS everything.
7. Stay in the range of a 1200 Calorie diet.



Personal Information:
My name is Ashley. I am 22 years young. I am one of three siblings. I have two other sisters. I am the youngest. I am married, and now have a six month old daughter. She is beautiful. Right now, the most important thing to me is getting healthy for myself, and my family.
