Introduction Text I am 57 and a diabetic, I need to focus on my own health. I recently loss my mom to heart failure and diabetes. As a nurse I know the importance of a healthy lifestyle but I have a hard time applying it to myself. My goal is to take small steps to a healthier life. I am trying to focus on a heart healthy lifestyle, recently had a heart attack.

Healthier life I am setting small goals to prevent frustration and failure Nov. 23,2012 weight 220 Dec. 30,2012 210 Jan. 30 2013 200 Dec.11 2018 217 To increase my activity level Walk 1 mile daily (DVD or Outside) Start strength training 2 days weekly weekly

Tracking my food reducing carbs as they are my weakness Tracking my fitness Walking daily ( my Dr. has recommended 45 min. daily consistently)

Small town in Ohio 57 yrs old with 3 grown married children and 8 grandchildren In a relationship of 8yr and he has been recently diagnosed with Heart disease, Complications of Diabetes, and is currently on disability due to these issues LPN.. I love being a nurse
