Let's Make 2010 Rock!!! Revisions and Long Term Planning in June for my Bday :)
My Name is Barbara. I turned 50 this year(2008). I want to lose a good 100lbs. I know I can do it. I used to weigh over 400 and now am in the high 200s. I successfully kept off over 100lbs for several years, but am stuck in losing and maintaining a further weight loss. As I get older the weight becomes an increasing burden and is preventing me from living my life to the fullest. Hence, it has to go. I hope to find some inspiration and like minded people on this site. It would be great to meet ...

I hope to find some inspiration and like minded people on this site. It would be great to meet some people from Tucson.
In January 09 I was doing really great and getting closer to my goal. That is when I decided to take the next step and quit smoking. I have not smoked since but gained back the weight I had lost and then some. So I had to start my journey more or less from scratch. Of course I had learned some things along the way which I'm applying this time around. Thank goodness I'll never have to quit smoking again. It easily is one of the hardest things I've ever done.
My goal for 2010 is to reach 199 lbs in June of 2010. At which time I will set a further goal. I'm doing the following to reach that goal:
~Hike or do half marathon weekly
~Walk x miles a day on average, undecided at the moment
~Gym 4 to 5x a week
~Eat responsibly. Sensible portions of "real" food
~3 meals/2 snacks a day
~Weigh-in on Tuesdays
~Blog most days
~Log in to SP and get my Spark Points daily
~Encourage others on Spark
~Read other people's blogs regularly and be supportive
~Gratitude journal
~Fix my car so it does not break down and I have transportation to the gym, dog park, and the grocery store to buy healthy food
~Get rid of clothes that are too big as I continue to lose weight
~Keep junk food and trigger foods out of the house
~Make a plan beforehand when I eat out or at someone else's house
~Trade in Flea for a high energy dog...lol
My goals for May:
Food:
Eat 3 meals/2 snacks
Eat mostly vegan/at least two meals per day
Eat mostly unprocessed food or lightly processed food
Record what I’m eating
Stay within calorie range most of the time
Exercise:
Exercise 120 min per day
Hike 1x per week
Do physical therapy for arm
Other:
Continue counseling for eating disorder
Do homework as assigned
Read Dr. Phil’s book 1x week
