Introduction Text My name is Karen. I am 45, married with 3 amazing kids. I live in California. I need to lose about 85 lbs. I am an emotional eater. I use food for comfort, when I'm stressed, upset, happy, sad, LOL. But I'm ready for a change. I'm ready to take control and to be healthy again. I'm ready to make the 2nd half of my life the best half. I have a lot of goals and dreams that I set aside for one reason or another and now I'd like to put them in the forefront and make the next 45 years the adventure of a lifetime!

My first goal is to lose 10 lbs by 12/31/10. Then my next goal will be to lose 10% of my body weight! I will also schedule 30 minutes of exercise into my day everyday whether it's walking, riding my bike, or swimming.

Eating more protein and less carbs : ) Drinking lots of water everyday, tracking what I eat, and planning my meals, and packing healthy snacks and lunch everyday.

I'm a California girl through and through. Love the beach! I'm a total optimist. I believe in going after your dreams and not holding back.
