Welcome to my Spark Page. Hi my name is Whitney and this is where my Spark journey begins.

In July 2008, I read a book called "The Richest Man Who Ever Lived". I have since passed it on and cannot recall the authors name. It was a book on how to achieve financial success( and so much more). The author tells of his journey through the Book of Proverbs and applying Solomon's wisdom to his own life. He shares the importance of goal setting in all areas of your life. Well, this book inspired me to take the first steps...write down what you want in life.

So I bought a notebook and some loose leaf paper and wrote down a goal on each sheet.

1. To have a closer relationship with my Father.
2. Get our financial house in order.
3. Be the Excellent Wife of Proverbs 31.
4. Be a better friend, sister, daughter and
daughter-in-law
5. Lose weight and get healthy
6. Sell the jewelry I make
7. Own our own house

That is far as I got with the actual goal setting steps. I just left it in the Lord's hands, which is not a bad place to keep your dreams.

My Father always amazes me. Even when I do not specifically ask Him, I see His wonderful hand working.
He quietly began working in my life...changing my husband's job, releasing me from mine, leading me to wonderful study on the internet of the Excellent Wife and now leading me to Sparks People.

My Goals:
After using the worksheet ....
Long Term Goal -
lose 73 lbs.

Why?
1. Feel better in and out of clothes.
2. Will be strong and flexible.
3. Will be healthier for second half of life,
4. Will be more confidant.

Deadline -
September 29, 2009


My Program:
I am going to follow the guidelines on this site.

I will track all these things, food, exercise, etc.

I will set mini goals and achieve them.



Personal Information:
I am from Arlington, Texas. Still live here. I like crafting, making jewelry, painting. I enjoy bible studies. I like to try new recipes of all kinds. I love making my hubby happy.
