The last 2 years have been very eventful in my weight loss journey. After being denied lapband surgery by my insurance in the summer of 2009 I was then diagnosed with Type 2 diabetis. That shook me up alot and I was able to cut out all sugar and refined starches from my diet, losing 50lbs. in 6 months. I thought I had finally gotten a handle on this. Spring of 2010 we got the wonderful news that we where going to have another baby. We where so thrilled after trying for 2 years. During the pregnancy I gained back most of the 50 lbs and slipped back into old habits. My baby is 4 months old now and I have gained all of it back and a few extra. Feeling pretty ashamed and disgusted with myself and very fearful that I will never get there.
It has become very clear to me that my biggest problem is emotional eating. So that is what that page title and my goals are all about.
I'm really hoping to find some people here or in my local community that really get the emotional eating thing. I have so many caring supportive people in my life but they just don't get it.

Just taking it one day at a time, lower carb, no sugar, and facing my emotions instead of numbing them with food.

    Good Morning, Larie! How's it going for you? I got a little off track and am now working hard at it again. Can't do my walking as I think I re-injured my break a bit. Have an appt. next week to get x-rays and see what's going on. I was so excited to be out walking again. Oh well, this journey is full of ups and downs, right? Certainly plenty of challenges!     Thank you for spending the time to read my blog - I think having just put that blog together - the first time I have actually put the developing story together like that and now the penny has dropped - and I am beginning to realise what I have done!! So - I'm just a bit slow in the uptake!! LOL!!
    However it has proved one thing to me – that if I can do it anyone can do it and you will find that the results are way beyond your wildest dreams!!
