I have been struggling with weight most of my life. It started around the time I was in middle school. In HS I lost all of my weight, but not in a healthy way. I remember barely eating anything except one sugary snack every day.

When I went to college I enjoyed the freedom of eating what ever I wanted in the cafeteria. I know I ate the worst foods possible. I think I gained about 30lbs my freshman year. The pounds just kept adding on throughout college.

I've been married for almost 14 years and my weight has fluctuated but has steadily been going up. My lowest weight, ironically enough, was after both of my pregnancies. I also was a member of Jenny Craig and I lost about 30 lbs a few years ago.

I am doing this to make a lifestyle change. I don't want to diet anymore. I don't want to spend anymore money on weight loss. I want to feel and look healthy!

Update 4/17/11
Well I didn't do so hot through the winter months, but I am back. I've gained back everything I lost, so it is going to be a lot of hard work to get back into those jeans! I know I can do it and I am going to need to if I am going to fit into last summers shorts.

It has not been the best year. I've gained some weight and my body is in terrible shape. I was diagnosed with Intracranial Hypertension in March and have been dealing with it and the new medication the past couple of months. Now that my pressure is low and my side effects seem to be over, I need to get my strength back. I am slowly working on adding exercise back into my daily routine, but I am trying to it over do it. I know I can do this, t is just going to be a much slower process than it was for me before.

I am restarting again July 2012!

I am trying to watch what I am eating.

I am exercising for the first time in a while.

I am originally from NE PA, but have lived in Upstate NY for the past 16 years with my husband. We have two children and four dogs..

Other Information:
I enjoy reading and taking pictures. I spend way too much time on Facebook.

I really enjoy my job as a music teacher.

    Is everything OK? Are you having problems with you blood pressure? Getting your strength back is a good goal for summer!!!!

    It is a nice break having the kids home. Zach is starting band camp this Monday. He is starting the saxophone. Should be interesting!!! We are going away at the end of the summer. How about you guys? Any vacation plans?

    Oh my goodness!!! I am so sorry!!! I hope you are feeling better real soon!!! That sounds really painful!!! You are in my thoughts and prayers!!! Sounds like vacation is just what you need!!! My kids had off today as well as tomorrow and Friday. It's not a long break, but very much needed!!! My son just had his Bar Mitzvah a week and a half we are just getting back into the swing of things. Now he just has to get his thank you's done :-)
