Peonies. These flowers are the biggest I've ever seen and stand right at 4'tall.

Hello. My name is Brenda. I'm from Missouri.

Spring has sprung! Yay! I will be sharing lots of flower pictures. They're my babies now.

My boys are grown and won't be long until the youngest is gone.
It's time for me to take care of me.
I'm driven to make this weight loss thing happen this time.

I work as an Operations Manager for a local WISP.
I work on Saturdays, pt, for a local veterinarian. I really don't consider it work, it's more like volunteering. I love working with the animals and praying over them. Sometimes I get it in my head I can lay my hands on them and God will heal them. It hasn't happened yet and I don't know why I have that feeling, but I know I comfort them. The girls at the clinic tease me. They say, "It ain't Saturday if Brenda's not crying." When I have to hold someone's baby for blood draw or anything I view as scary or painful, I hum to them or sing and crocodile tears run down my face. It's like I feel their energy. I really think those other girls think I'm crazy. But I know I would like to think someone would treat my baby that way.

I had a 13 y.o. white pekingese, Li'l Bit, recently passed. 1/20/20
I have 10 y.o. deerhead chihuahua, Rascal and a 2 y.o. terrier mix, Mama Dog.
My 19 year old son, has a 6 y.o. english bulldog that lives with him in my basement. Her name is Lola.

I love gardening. I have grown vegetables for many years. And got into flower gardening in the last 6 years or so. I had my own business for a time gardening with elderly ladies who couldn't do everything for themselves any more. I loved it.

Photography is another passion of mine. I also have worked as a professional portrait photographer, doing senior portraits, family portraits, maternity portraits, pet portraits and wedding photography.

Grew up on a farm. Been around farming pretty much all my life. Bought a house 2 1/2 years ago in my hometown. It's weird living in town and having neighbors so close. I live in one of the oldest neighborhoods in town. It's a great neighborhood. I have 5 lots. I love watching my son and his friends play football in the yard or the neighbor kids fly their drones over here.

LOVE those KANSAS CITY CHIEFS your

My Goals:
There was a time when I walked 4 miles every morning before work. I would like to get back to a walking regimen. I enjoyed it so much and I know what benefits await.

My Program:
RULES FOR A "SPARK"LING LIFE! (adapted from RULES FOR A "SPARK"LING WEEK!!!)

1. Wake Up !! Make the choice to have a good day and live a healthier lifestyle!

2. Dress Up !! The best way to dress up is to put on a smile. A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.

3 . Learn!! Read as much as you can and gain knowledge about living a healthier lifestyle!

4. Stand Up!!..... For what you believe in. Stand for something or you will fall for anything.

5. Look Up !!.. to your next goal and reward. What do you need to do in order to meet or exceed that goal?

6. Reach Out !!... by encouraging others and being supportive in their times of need.

7. Lift Up !!.. Your spirit....as this journey is not only about your body and weight loss but the changes with your mind and soul too!

8, Get moving !! ... Find ways to incorporate exercise into your daily routine. Sneak in as much exercise as possible!

Personal Information:

I took one every day to my dear momma last year .. everyone she said was more lovely and heavenly smelling than the day before .. damnit .. I sure do miss her .. yes damnit but I am so thankful she's watching this mess from God's window and not here ..

Regardless of whether we believe in the Garden of Eden or the big bang, something came before it all, a vast, endless, infinite, eternal something. That same source-force is here right now. Dr. Jonathan Ellerby

In every culture throughout time there have been saints, mystics, sages, shamans and prophets who have come to the same conclusion: all things in this world are deeply interconnected and ultimately are only diverse expressions of the one original source energy. Dr. Jonathan Ellerby

emoticon The Garden of Success emoticon
emoticon We just have to plant five rows of peas:
    Patience.
    Perseverance.
    Preparation.
Planning. And most of all -
    Positiveness.

emoticon Include 3 rows of squash:
    Squash negativity.
    Squash dieting.
    Squash deprivation.

emoticon Add 5 rows of lettuce:
    Let us be positive.
    Let us take responsibility.
    Let us be in control.
    Let us reward our accomplishments.
    Let us be resilient.

emoticon No garden is complete without turnips:
    Turn up the positive attitude.
    Turn up with a smile.
    Turn up with new ideas.
    Turn up with real determination.
    Turn up with success.

emoticon May YOUR garden flourish. emoticon

*Have really been enjoying planting these last few days! It's much nicer when there aren't so many other things wanting my attention! Enjoy the weekend!
