I also love ice cream. I have a substitute that I love. Not original to me, it was a "gift" from my 1st diabetes educator. A 6 to 8 oz serving or carton of FF plain yogurt and a 1/2 tsp of sugar free Jello dry powder mix. Stir and mix thoroughly, and chill in the freezer. Mine never gets to true ice cream consistency, cause I eat it. All fruit flavors I have tried were good. If you need chocolate, try a TBSP of dark or semi-sweet mini chips. more bites have chips and use FF UNSW Vanilla yogurt. Yes, my fav. flavor is Baskin Robbins Pralines and Cream, and no this does not compare to that. I did not try. I am happy to have cold and sweet that does not make me feel guilty.

I see where ice cream is a weakness of yours. Mine too, and I am lactose intolerant so it doesn't even like me.
Last week I discovered a SP recipe that is so good I will never miss ice cream again. It is simply sliced frozen bananas (although I added a little milk and vanilla) but you do need a regular food processor to make it. Could possibly do one banana in a blender.
    Check out that recipe!
