    Hey Mike:

All is well but the progress is very slow! Must have been the 1 week trip to Hong Kong for business and back! I managed eating "plane food" by making sure that I ate all the Japanese entrées instead of the Western style meals. Helped a lot and of course much easier in Hong Kong because of the all the fresh seafood available.

With respect to your comments on your blog and the progress since moving to Hawaii, I first would give yourself credit for just being aware of the need for focus. I have found that we do not give ourselves enough credit for just recognizing the need to take better care of ourselves. Moving the family to Hawaii is a huge undertaking and it takes a lot of time to readjust, particularly with the family in tow. The fact that you are now having fun with your family, will free up that "energy" to focus on yourself. I applaud your "physical" activities; you can record this in your "cardio" section of SparkPeople. Everything counts! Having moved my family multiple times I understand the time and and energy that it takes.

Anyway, this is not a race but a marathon and it is the smallest of steps that help us make progress!

Let me know about how it is going. Happy Birthday as well.

I had to contact you, because I read your response to Dannac's blog about two weeks ago about feeling like a failure. I'm telling you, it really warmed my heart. All the things you said to her were perfect. You would make a good counselor. I just wanted to tell you that I was not only glad to respond to her blog so that I could help her, I was also glad to read such a kind and loving response.
