Well, I'm back at it after being bad for a year and losing all my progress. Normal aging, inactivity, and a chronic illness have left me weakened and way out of shape. Time to reclaim my life and become stronger and healthier and stop my downhill slide. Now back to my old intro, lol. Hi, I'm Bindy. I'm married, a recently retired Mail Carrier, and a new resident of Florida after spending over 3 decades in California. I just turned 60, so I guess I'm considered a young "senior" but I don't want to just sit around and rust. I love animals, participate in cat rescue, enjoy reading, cross stitch, crafting, gardening, kayaking, photography, hiking, going to the beach, shelling, and walking. I live with my hubby, an adult son, and 11 cats, and all of us, including most of the cats, need to lose weight so we can look forward to many happy and healthy years to come! Since retiring and moving both my husband and I have gained weight since we can't do our usual activities. My cholesterol and blood pressure are up too, so I realize it's time to take control of my life to regain and keep my health. I've started changing my eating habits, just began walking and joined the gym. I'm happy I found SparkPeople and am confident that with all the help available here I'll be able to make the changes I need. Let's make healthy changes together! :)
