I joined SparkPeople back in May 2011. I was doing really well at first, losing 10 pounds in the first couple weeks of summer. Unfortunately, as the summer went on, and then as I returned to university, I completely lost track and the pounds slipped back on. I feel like I'm more out of shape then I have EVER been now, and things definitely need to change for me. I'm starting TODAY, December 26th, because I feel like everyone starts January 1st and that's just so cliche :P

So here I go! Stay tuned for progress.

December 26th - 180lbs (WHAT!! Yes, I just weighed my self for the first time since summer... this is no good)

Fitness Minutes: 691

My Goals:
My goal is to be around 140 lbs by September 1st! I want to be firm and toned for my 3rd year of university. I'm definitely focusing on my abs and legs - the two areas that I think need the most work.

My Program:
I signed up for a gym membership at L.A. Fitness back in June. I try to get to at least 4 or 5 classes a week, and I like to mix it up by trying all kinds of different classes! My personal favourite would be the "Body Works Plus Abs" class, because it's such a great workout! I also take yoga, mat pilates, step and cycle classes. I love them all and the instructors are very motivating! Oh... and every once in a while my brother makes me do weights with him too :P

Personal Information:
I love to dance, play the piano, sing, read, and of course spend lots of time with family and friends! I'm a huge goof and love to make people laugh, as well as get a good laugh myself :)

    heyy how was your weekend? mine was great socially...had my room-mates 21st...but health wise it was a bit of a set-back :( although i tried to watch what i ate, my calories were all over the place and i didnt even type them in so who knows how far over my limit i was..oh well i had a fun weekend despite a terrible hangover haha had a really good gym session this arvo...to try and compensate the cake peanut butter and diet desserts i had :( haha
    im hoping i get back into the swing of things tomorrow : )
    i think im going to have to throw the last piece of cake in the bin im sick of looking at it and i swear adam is leaving it there just to taunt me haha

    heyyy there sorry i've been a bit absent lately like you i've been all over the place latey!! uni has been really crazy with lots of assignment and stuff due this week plus the weather over here has snapped and its been absolutely freezing!!!
    i had a bad day on tuesday, i ate well all day and then went to my bf's and they had a whole heap of meat and veggies and bread and well i had some which with my dinner put me over by about 150 but im not too worried about it, sometimes its good to go higher than usual to throw your body off a bit just to keep it guessing :)
    also blogging has really helped me so if you can blog everyday or two u should even if its just short, so that you can look back and see how your food and exercise was affacted by your mood and what was going on in your life etc :)

    and i know its hard but try and keep positive...i think thats whats saved me from super bad days in the last few weeks...if i do something wrong usually i'd ruin the rest of my day but now im trying to be positive about it saying "yes i just devoured 4 tbsp of peanut butter...so im going to do an hour of zumba and work really hard to eat well for the rest of the day" and well its been working, i've had a few brainsnaps but im trying to not let them get me down!
    have you got some kinda roster/ checklist system going? i sat down and organised my overall goal broke it down into little less daunting goals and set myself mini rewards for every 2pounds i lose : ) it makes it a lot easier when you can say yes today im going to do this this and this and then my the end of the week you add it all up and its surprising how much better im going taking everything one day at a time!!

    hope your having a great day and just remember yesterday is in the past so if you did bad yesterday so what its in the past beating yourself up about it wont help you get on with today! learn from what you did wrong and take everyday as it comes : ) you can do this!!! its all about being positive and taking it one day at a time :) slow and steady cause you dont wanna burn yourself out! that was my mistake earlier in my spark journey, i'd go eat really well and train super hard one week then the next be super tired and lazy recovering haha
