Every choice, no matter how small, is like throwing a pebble into the ocean. The point of impact sends waves out in all directions across the surface of the water, continually expanding its circle of influence. We never know upon what shore those waves will lap. Every choice, therefore, has consequences we cannot foresee.....so, choose wisely.

"Do not scatter the seed in the gardens of others, but cultivate your own. Do not desire to be anything but what you are. Concentrate on perfecting yourself and on carrying crosses, either small or large that you will encounter on your journey to heaven."
~St. Pio of Pietreicina

So, about me?
I'm quiet and reserved, with a warm and compassionate nature once you get to know me. I like to laugh, and consider a good sense of humor a promising sign of one's sanity and intelligence. I also like long conversations about books, philosophy, art, religion...and most every other subject under the sun. I tend to watch, observe, and listen. My strength is my creativity and imagination .....and my tendency to analyze and think about most everything. I love to learn.... about life, about myself, and about others. I take serious things seriously, but am repeatedly reminded not to take myself too seriously as I perpetually slip on the banana peels of life.

Best ways to sum me up? An intelligent fool. A charitable scrooge. A fanciful analyzer.....And an organized mess. All contradictions...Yes, I know.

Thanks for the comments on my blog. It's good to see someone say shove that scale under a bus for a while. Eh... i did that and here we are. However, you are right. I'm sure it's other things and I did put a lot out there for December. So far, it's not bad. The best thing I could for myself was go cold turkey and keep my hands out of everyone's candy jar at work! I did have some not so good things last week, but I tracked and was still doing good, which made me feel good.

Hope you're having a good weekend.

I actually searched for the quote to remind myself. After being out of my routine because of vacation, I really needed the reminder that I needed a plan to stay on target. emoticon
