Introduction Text Hi My name is Jen and I'm 39. I am married with two wonderful children. Her'e's the deal. Sugar controls my life and I'm ready to control IT. I'm on a mission to hit my goal and be as healthy as I can. I'm also a stress eater which causes me more STRESS!!! Ugh.. My childhood was a very stressful one. I grew up with a bipolar mother and their was so much volatility. Instead of turning to drugs and alcohol like my sister my comfort was food. (which was better than the latter) Mostly baked goods. I used to hide cookies in secret places.. I was always feeling sneaky. Then I went off to college and for some reason I always made friends that were beautiful. Serious- one of my best friends was a model. I lived with the Buffalo Bill cheerleaders etc.. I so wanted to look like them but could never control my sugar intake. By my junior year I became bulimic. I was on and off bulimic until I got pregnant with my first child. At this time I realized if I wanted a healthy child I needed to stop the craziness.. So that's what I did- stopped.. I still have urges at times but I try to control myself. Every once in awhile I make myself throw up but very rarely.. The thing I hate most is the feeling of being out of control with my food. I HATE when the food is controlling me. I've come to learn with age that it is mostly hormonal. I'm a poster child for PMS- I get every symptom and then some. So, I take an anti-depressant and take a birthcontrol pill so I don't get a period. (only 4 a year). I'm really happy I found SP. What a great place!

I currently walk/run on the treadmill and I love doing Gunner Peterson's workout! I need to drink more water for overall health but I also have kidney stones (yuk) Since I live in the north I've been taking advantage of winter and cross country skiing
