I'm so tired of being tired! Dragging this extra weight around can't be helping my energy level or any of my health problems, so I'm ditching it. I've been down this road a couple of times before, though, and my tactic this time will be to lose s-l-o-w-l-y. Dropping a quarter of one's body weight and gaining almost all of it back, all within the span of about a year, can't be good for a person -- but I've been there!

My Goals:
Yes, these are very specific goals. It's how I work best. :)

*lose 1% of my start weight (DONE September 2014: hey, it feels good to already have something to cross off the list)
*lose 5% of my start weight (DONE October 2014)
*drop one pants size (DONE October 2014)
*lose 10% of my start weight
*drop two pants sizes
*lose 15% of my start weight
*drop three pants sizes
*lose 20% of my start weight
*lose 25% of my start weight
*end weight loss goal: lose 30% of my start weight
*maintain


My Program:
I'm trying something different. I'm not counting calories any more (and am logging in here infrequently because it triggers my binges, ironically). I eat what I want when I'm hungry and I quit eating when I'm satisfied. It's working and I don't have to obsess.



Personal Information:
I'm a queer, celiac, asthmatic, depression-prone, insomnia-riddled 30-something grad student in a science field, and I currently live in Nashville, Tennessee.


Other Information:
I don't sting... usually.
