Hi! Just haunting your page today to check out your cute dogs. I bet you can't wait for your knee surgery - seems far away, but that gives you plenty of time to get all psyched up about how awesome things are going to be afterwards! Hope you are well.

NEVER stop learning! The moment you decide you are done, the Universe will always show you that you have so much more to learn! Karen Downing

Wishing you luck w/your double knee replacement. Both my knees are replaced. Not @ the same time, though. Best decision I made. NO more pain and can do basically all I want (outside of kneeling and running fast!) Good luck and hugs.

Dear Carolyn, You must be quite in suspense about your knee replacements - mixed feelings, I imagine, the good ones being looking forward to pain-free movement. Very very best wishes for not too much discomfort until then and a successful operation!

I remember that moment when I had to admit to myself that online teaching has it’s good points and can even be fun!

The last two months have been a bit of an ordeal, but Shiro is finally in the operating theater. I just spent twenty minutes with him before he went in. He’s in good spirits, and except for his doctor, everyone is very nice and professional. He will have a temporary ostomy for three months so I will be learning a new caregiving technique.

Cathy is living with us now. It’s really nice to have her with us. Her plan is to stay about a year.

I’ll have to meet the doctor again in a few hours. I wonder if I can turn his lousy bedtime manner with oodles of my charm!!

It's funny isn't it, I'm just now realizing how often I'd been checking Google News while steeling myself for another blow. This slow-moving, slightly ho-hum news is great!

I don't know much about knee replacements either, but from talking to people who've had it, I was trying to imagine you going through the recovery/physical therapy period with both legs out of commission at the same time and it just seemed like too much. Seems like it would be better to concentrate on one leg at a time.
