I love riding horses and I want to be able to keep going for a whole session without my fitness limiting me. I want to be able to ride more horses and not be limited by my weight and I want to be a joy for the horses to carry and work with.

I love nature, video games, astronomy and science and I believe I am a sugar addict

The street party sounds like a lot of fun! How nice that you got to meet all the neighbors! I envy you getting to see Diana in person! She didn't look tall on camera but she always looked beautiful and elegant....

Thanks for the compliments on our horses, I have been raising my own since the early 80's and have had a lot of award winning ones, but now is the time to scale back and shift gears. My husband and I got rid of most of our 10 horses last year, because we wanted to start traveling. Since we have done that, we have been gone about a week or so out of every month, camping in our RV (pictures of inside and outside on my photos) and are getting ready to leave again, soon.

Lexi is only 3 and is trying to learn to trust her rider (me) I am the only person to ride her since she has been trained and I don't ride her as often as I should, but she is as good as gold and doesn't act crazy if I give her some time off...........she just goes right back to where we left off which is emoticon for a young horse!

Take care, and enjoy your weekend. We are getting back into the hot weather after a few days of rain and cool, which were not the norm, but oh so nice for a change!

Clare, how exciting that you live in London! We watched the Today show last week, and all the goings on for the Queen's Jubilee looked so beautiful. Nothing like the Brits for pageantry! Did you watch them ride down the river? I heard that it rained that day, too bad.

I think Americans are also pretty mesmerized with Kate, the new princess. I know we were fascinated with Diana. I feel badly though, that her husband never really loved her. How tragic!!!

Glad that you get to ride, but sorry that it is a sacrifice for you. But then, it is so good for you, that you have to do it! I know I do. We are fortunate though in that we currently own 2 horses, my Lexi that I ride (see my photos and blogs) and her sire, Final Review. We have 13+ acres here for them to run on and another 17 acres about 100 miles west of here.

Our lives are so different but that is what makes things interesting! Have a great weekend!

What country are you in? I know how you feel! When I lived in Michigan, I thought I was born in the wrong part of the country, I love the Western way of life so much! When I moved to Texas, I was right in the middle of Cowboy Country! Woo HOO!!
Western suits and Cowboy Boots and hats are seen in downtown Fort Worth every day................

Thanks so much, Clare, for the goodie! I know, not many choices for us horse people on this site. We have to be creative, LOL! Are you planning on riding this weekend?

You are very welcome! I meant to mention that we donated my daughter's show horse (when she married) to a local Therapeutic Riding Association and he is now their star. He was the Reserve Champion horse at the largest Handicapped Riding show in the Region, held in Fort Worth, Texas every January. We are so proud of him!

He is 23 this year and still going strong. We bought him when he turned 7 and my daughter showed him very successfully for years. He loves the show ring and was always at his best. I am so happy that he is helping people find joy with horses! I look forward to hearing more about your journey with the horses and getting healthy!
