Thanks for the spark :)) It was the first thing I saw when I went online this morning, and I thought, "a good start to my day!"

Thanks for the virtual snowflake goodie, the only sort I'm likely to see here in Fla! The weather has been perfect for outdoor walks and work. Hope you're having a Sparkling good week!

Actually, that was two separate walks, a 1.5 mi round trip to the store and back, and the other was round and round the house while having daily check-in call with nonogenarian mother-in-law. I usually spent 20-30 min on the phone with her, and it occurred to me early on, why not get some free fitness minutes out of it. I think was inspired by a great book called Stealth Health. It's full of great ideas for painlessly adding healthier habits. Whenever I'm on the phone now, I try to remember not to just sit.

It's hard to get moving when you'd rather stay bundled up and cozy. I spent part of last winter north of Boston at a retreat house. The winter was wonderful, especially if you don't have to drive in it, shovel it, or have power outages. I had all the best, the fun of long walks by the ocean, watching skaters on a pond, noticing animal tracks, watching seals on the slick rocks, and wearing all the winter gear I'd acquired from thriftshops in Florida.

I won't tell you what a beautiful day it's going to be here!
