I need to lose weight for my health. I have allergies to most of the vegetables on the diabetic vegetable list, can eat only very very low fat meat, and I am a diabetic. You can see I am behind the eight ball even before I get started. This does not mean that I am not going to make it all the way. It may take me a little while longer than some, I AM GOING TO MAKE IT.

My Goals:
My goals are to lose 90 lb in the next 2 years.
To get off as many meds as I can
To be able to use less insulin than I do now
To build exercise into a daily habit
To use prayer and meditation to help motivate and lessen stress
I am also doing most of my teams goals.

My Program:
I have to drink 10 glasses water a day due to my meds.
I walk a lot to keep my ankle limber. I can now do all the exercises that my back and ankle will let me do.
I am to be on a 2,000 calorie diet.
I will read in a devotional book every day.
I will read all my Jan Karon books this fall and work on my felt crafts.

Personal Information:
My name is Candy Mckay, I live in Topeka, KS with my boyfriend, Gary. I have two cats, a Maine Coon named Funny Face, and a part Siamese named Oreo. Oreo is black and white. Funny Face is dark. I have a big to-be-read pile and a lot of craft and sewing items that need to be finished.
I need to get to work on them so I can get the books on the book shelves, and the craft and sewing item taken to wherever they need to go.

I have two children, a daughter, Mary, who lives about 2 hours away from me, she has given me 4 grandchildren(2 girls, 2 boys). I have a son, Jimmy, who is in the Navy, he is in the Pacific. Right now nither of my children will have anything to do with me, due to my mother's interference.

My Dad died on March 6, 2009, he had left my mother, due to her yelling at him and not taking care of his physical health. He went to live with my sister about six weeks before he died. He was looking forward to being able to live in peace.

Other Information:
My brother-in-law died of cancer.leing into their new life. Their church has wrapped its arms around my sister and her family and she is doing OK with her new normal.
