Sparking on Cape Cod


Have been through surgery and rehab for lung cancer and am now dealing with it for the third time, along with COPD, Asthma and Glaucoma. I am currently using a gym along with hiking and walking & eating more healthy foods I have reached my weight goal of 140 lbs and am maintaining a program of diet and exercise. I am now enjoying life and all the friends I have made while here at SparkPeople.

My Goals:
Met my weight goal and am improving other areas of my life. (consistent exercising and more positive outlook)


Lost 55 lbs. and maintaining

My Program:
 Walking/hiking 2-3 miles a day along with regular exercises
I am back at the gym--all new equipment!!


Personal Information:
I live on Cape Cod and am a lung cancer survivor x 2 with#3 coming up.



I was operated on successfully and have been through rehab and am now using a home gym and community gym and am eating healthier.
Now dealing with COPD,Glaucoma and Cataracts
Oh the joys of aging!!

Other Information:
 I am now cutting and splitting fire wood for wood stove. This is for my winters heat and is great exercise. I also try for at least a 2 mile hike each day with my furry friend.

    Things are going about the same in September as they were in March since we have a governor that is a tyrant! We are still on lock down for who knows how long and it is definitely maddening! How are you doing with all this craziness?

    Doing well. I got cellulitis once from a hornet sting-not pleasant. prednisone and antibiotics got me clear. I am on Advair and have been for years without any ill effects. Glad you are well.

    I think 8 acres is enough, ha ha.

    Feels so good to have a garden again. A little late starting but we should have a nice harvest come early fall. Hoping for lots of goodies to put into canning jars.

    We filled in the large in ground swimming pool last year so now we have to make the area look nice for when we eventually put it on the market. Still plan to move south for lighter winters but the current health situation has put a damper on meeting with a realtor.
