My Goals:
Keep what works, eliminate what doesn't!

Goals:
get off couch with rocking to do it, get into truck without shortness of breath, not worrying about chairs with arms & whether I'll fit or being sturdy enough to hold my weight, walking without canes or rolling walker & without gasping for breath, liking my reflection in the mirror or images in photographs, feeling good wearing clothes that fit comfortably.

Learning to measure successful behaviors, not numbers right now. i.e. keeping daily food log on my laptop.


My Program:
Moderation in all things. Use Spark Nutritional & Exercise logging tools. Drink plenty of H20 daily, take daily prescriptions & vitamins, stretch when I wake up & before & after exercise, apply lotion to my skin regularly. Ride my exercycle at least one time a week. Pilates three times a week.

Give myself small non food rewards for following through on weekly commitment.

Treat myself lovingly & be mindful in all my actions.



Personal Information:
Learning to love myself as I proceed on this journey toward my new ending.

I'm counting the steps I've made, not the steps I've missed.

I am learning to increase my SPARK & help ignite other Spark friends.

    Have you ever seen the movie, "Pay It Forward?" We never know what will or how one will be inspired.

    On page 88 of my blogs, I wrote a parody to a song, "Be ok" by Ingrid Michaelson . The blog is called, I just want to be ok, be ok, be ok, I just want to be ok today... One part of it was that I wanted to motivate others.

    People want to be heard and be accepted. Many times those that are overweight are joked about to their face, I have had that happen to me. I had a cousin that had to turn sideways to go through a doorway. She had the sweetest disposition and I loved going to see my aunt and she babysat me while I was there. So often, we do not hear anothers"story" and I believe everyone has one. I was watching a man that was teaching people how to write stories on public broadcasting and I still have the notes I took from that program.

    I think a good story or a good laugh helps us to remember things. I am no writer, but I do share what has helped me to lose weight. You inspire me with how badly you want to reach your goals.

    I did eat some Tostitos and Chi Chi's salsa, but only about half a serving of chips and there was about a Tablespoon of salsa on each one.

    I had him buy some mixed nuts and the can was gone in two nights. Salty foods are trigger foods for me as is ice cream. He put the ice cream in waffle bowls and put chocolate fudge topping on it. I had one a night for several nights. It is something that IMAVISION and I were talking about, both of us have had weight gains and when I look at what I ate, it was no wonder. Along with my meals, I was way over on calories.

    We both said that we needed to weigh and watch our portion sizes and that is true. The idea for my blog came from what we wrote to each other.
