STRONGCOURAGE
Aw, I had missed your comment about overseas! I can identify (grew up an MK!) went to South America the first time when I was 13 for 1/2 year, then back to Canada for a bit, and off again to South America for 2 years with my family... then moved back to Canada to another new place as my parents went into missionary training school. Since I've been 13 I've never lived in one place for much more than 2 years..(sometimes only a few weeks/months in one place!) crazy but unique experiences! After I graduated from highschool & my folks left for full time ministry on the otherside of the world! (but I continued to move as I didn't have a "rooted home",,,even for the past 13 years since highschool, but people have opened up their homes & lives to me to make me feel at home with them! Saying a prayer for you this morning. I read an article about the challenges MK's have with friendships, esp re: when merging back into the north american culture. But some points were applicable for missionaries abroad too! We are so used to saying hellos & goodbyes...And I've been questioning recently about how to deal with new friendships (obviously since I just moved-lol!) But ya, the memories & gifts from both old (moved away or away from) & new friends are pretty special and def not worth passing up! I pray God will bring a special blessing to your heart today! Thank you SO much for your comment on my page. Let me know of any tips/cautions/advise you have re: maintenance...because as I just wrote last night in my blog its kinda weird switch and I'm not sure how to do it! So I was feeling a bit "alone" last night, but thank you SO much for your comment and I applaud you for your dedication to your health! You are always, always of limitless worth. So never stop loving or undermining the value of who you are! Have a lovely day :) 2335 days ago
