Hi. I've been struggling to lose weight pretty much my whole life. It's a long, long road. But, try, try and try again...success feels so much better than despair. And besides, I'm just not the kind of person to mope around...every day is a new beginning. I'll get it right one of these days!

Wow, somebody posted a challenge to write myself a supportive letter. That's tougher than it sounds. Why is it easier to be forgiving and supportive to someone else? Well, here goes:

Dear inner child:

You are not a bad person. You try to do and be good. You try to be supportive to others. You are helpful and kind. Be kind to yourself. You are worth it.

Yes, you are a little spoiled. You want it now. You don't have the attention span to follow through sometimes. But you keep dusting off those pants and getting up and trying again...that's great! Keep trying! One of these days you'll find that you aren't falling as often, and you're making bigger strides in the right direction. It won't happen overnight. But it will happen if you keep trying!!

You can also be lazy. Let someone else do the work. It's too hard. My back hurts. My feet hurt. I'm tired. I've heard all of the excuses. But you know what, nothing in life worth having comes easily. Why are you short-selling yourself?

Every minute is a gift. You decide what to do with it. Stop wasting it by wishing it away. Get up and DO things with your life. Make time for yourself. Make taking care of YOU a priority. You can do it!!!!

I haven't been on here for a long time. Funny how life gets in the way sometimes. Since posting last, I have fallen in love with my best friend, and he and I will be married in a little over a year. So, I'm back. Time to be mindful and get serious again about tracking!!

Personal Information:
I turned 60 last year! 60! Can you believe it? I certainly don't feel like I'm 60. I love adventures, travel, reading, summertime, and doing things with friends. I will be retiring in May 2021 and moving to Tennessee, then marrying the love of my life on June 26, 2021.


Other Information:
Stephen King is my favorite author. I love broadway productions and concerts. I lost my mom to breast cancer when I was 14 (she was 40). I lost my dad to lung cancer in 2008.
