Hi, I am a 30 year old female from Pennsylvania who pretty much always struggled with my weight since adolesence. I was 200 pounds on Sept 4, 2006, 4 days before my 30th birthday when I finally decided to do something about my eating habits and lifestyle. I started off by seeing my Dr and finding out that I had high cholesterol. I immediately took charge of my eating habits and started a fitness routine that consists of, 30 minutes of step aerobics on 10 inch step for 30 minutes 6 days a week, 100 crunches, and added strength training 3 times a week. I do this all in the bedroom of my tiny apartment! So there are never any excuses not to exercise. (Wonders if the guy below me still has his light fixtures in tact....LOL). I also take stairs instead of elevators,I live on 3 rd floor apartment so I run up and down 4 flights of stairs several times daily, carrying groceries, laundry ect, park in very last parking space when I go shopping and am looking forward to the nice weather to do alot of walking! I have been losing 10 pounds a month this way! I am not a on diet, I changed my eating habits for life. Diets are a temporary fix and never work long term. I aim for 1500 calories a day for now, will up that once I get to goal and to maintain weight. I only drink water, and no longer eat meat. As of today March 8, 2007 I weigh 147 pounds! My goal is 115-120!
