Hey crazy! CONGRATS on your 3 miles! That is great that you can get out there and walk 3 miles. That is your 5K...lookie there! What is the date for that?? My 8 miles turned into 9 miles, which was fine. Only another 12 minutes of running. When you have gone 8 miles, what is another 12 minutes? NOTHING!!!

Yeah, so doc I saw was a complete quack and told me that at 5'7" and 135lbs that I was too thin and needed to gain some weight. This coming from a lady PA who was about 250 and had lost 120 compliments of gastric bypass. I am calling it fat girl jealousy! Only if she knew my PCP told me that I could be 120lbs and then we need to worry about being too thin. Stupid lady! So she throws this very large overstuffed bag at me and never mentions another word about it. Thank goodness I have had 2 other children and know what to do with prenatal viatmins. Kinda important to say NOTHING about!! Then she throws this book written by the ob/gym board gods and says if I have any questions go find the answer in there, if I can't find it to call her. Yeah, so what is the first thing I look up Thursday??? Exercise...it says running is a great exercise for pregnate people as long as you have been doing it regularly, but don't start a new running program. Does 14 months count as an ongoing running program.? Yeah, I thought so also...so I ran!Needless to say, saw her Wednesday and Thursday I found another doc that is female in her mid 30's and is a marathon runner. My appt with her is for Oct 19th. I talked to my running mommy firends and they all said they ran through pregnancy, just slowed down to keep the heart rate down. I can follow that plan. Oh yeah, the reason the quack did not want me to run is that I might fall. I have never fallen when running yet, and she thinks I am going to be careless now. Whatever! But thanks for the great book quack lady!!

So that is where we stand. I told my coach yesterday just for safety reasons and she said she was playing racketball at 9 mo prego. Talk about trying not to fall and sprints. Yeah, she kicks butt! Her children are grown and in college and she ran through pregnancy with them. So there you have it. I will run!

Glad to hear you are still with your plan. As for the blisters, What kind of socks are you wearing? Are they super coushin or thin cute ones. Might make a difference. Way to go on the soda! That will help you lose weight right there! Can you walk in some sort of Croc flip flops or something? I know the guilty feeling. I walked my 7 miles Saturday and I SSSOOOOOO wanted to run! It was actually frustrating knowing that I could have run it in 1 hour, but walking took me 2! What a frustrating waste of time for a runner, like me...you know I am the most awesomeness runner out there and can run faster than the speed of light :-)...hee hee!

My doc appt got moved to tomorrow, so hopefullly I will have some more answers then. All is looking to the I get to keep runing direction. We shall see what the doc says though...
