Welcome to my page! I've lost 44 lbs with the support of you wonderful people on SP. From size 22 to size 16. I have better quality of life and am much more active. I started with Pilates back in Feb, 2011, and am now a runner. I have learned a lot about what works for me and what doesn't with weight loss. I have fought off my cynical, scared, and discouraged feelings and habits. I am now ready to start strong again and lose some more weight.

My ultimate goal is to get to a healthy BMI of 20-23 by my 10th year wedding anniversary. An even 100# loss total would put me at my ideal weight for my height.

About me:
I am 36 years old and have 7 year old twins, a girl and a boy. I'm a registered dietitian who works full time. I started SP in Feb, 2011 and lost 25 lbs in a few months. From there I had some ups and downs, depending on how hard I worked at my weight loss. I've been maintaining a 44 lb loss for a while now, and am starting strong again.

I have a heart condition (peripardom cardiomyopathy, heart failure due to pregnancy) which means I have to ease into things. This is something I have to deal with and have had to overcome. If you see me writing about my blood lipid values, heart rate, or about overcoming fear you'll understand it's because I've come a long way. I started slowly with walking and pilates and I'm now running.

I started SP on 2-16-2011

Thanks for spotting by and for your support!

Glad to see you are alive and well and hope the family is doing well. I missed you on the Island, but totally understand that sometimes there is not enough time to Spark.

Keep plugging along. You Can Do it.

It's awesome that we both do the same thing! I'm at a New York State agency. It's rewarding work and I have blogged a few times about what it feels like to be an overweight nutritionist. I think having been down this road has made me better at my job and helps my participants to take me more seriously. Have you found the same to be true?
