Like many others my story is filled with chapters that are repeats of previous pages. Weight was never a problem for me until my father passed. For twenty years I was active, I was slim, I ate whatever I wanted, and I took it all for granted. When that phone call came, my whole world crumbled and the only thing that gave me solace was devouring every crumb I could find. Before I knew it, eating my emotions had become my knew normal. It was no surprise that within two short years I had ballooned 80 lbs.The good thing about young weight gain is young weight loss. Once the decision was made that enough was enough I hit the gym; within a year and half I was able to widdle myself down to my ideal 130lbs (75lbs lost). It came off easy. With youth comes ego and mine was overjoyed to be validated with such an extreme transformation. I felt invincible. Exercise and nutrition was all I thought or talked about. I was exhausted by own obsession and self importance so, I decided to take a break. Little did I realize the problem was never actually the weight, the weight was just the result of something bigger, something deeper; the weight (and the skinny girl ego) was because I didn't actually love myself. Fast forward ten years. Here I am, the result of another round of devastating events with emotional eating, 50lbs heavier than I was the first time. But, here I am emotionally lighter. Although, I it may feel like I am repeating some of the same chapters of my story I know this part is actually completely different. I know that the stories in between have changed me, have aged me, have increased my self awareness, and decreased my desire for others approval. This time, I have broken through the shell of pain to live as the naturally-raw-super-nut I was designed to be. Life really does get better the older you get. Today, I embrace every chapter that has led me here and that will lead me towards what comes next. Today, I am working on my health, mind, body, and soul. Today, I do it for me. Today I am becoming Chasz-tastic
