    Yeah, I get ya. =^)
    I use kind of an "applied" cognitive behavioral therapy approach with my younger daughter, she has autism with developmental delays and is non-verbal. I say "applied" in the way I do because it's generally more of a self-practiced thing. But it's amazing how things can change for you when you change your beliefs and recognize self-limiting actions, isn't it?

    I have been thinking too, about what you wrote about your research into the self esteem thing(something I've struggled with, and always had kind of a messed up view) and it not being vanity or superficial-ness. :P
    I mean, I've been thinking about it A LOT. Coincidence? Perhaps.....

    I'm so ready to drop some extra pounds and in the process tone some muscles! I've dilly-dallied enough, I believe. Its like there always has to be some catalyst moment that occurs right before my big changes in life, and I feel like I'm on the verge of one now. I'm excited for it though.
    Without change, I will never grow. Accepting that was something else, lemme tell ya.
    So that's enough of MY long-winded response.

    hey there! i actually started at about 190 lbs, and started utilizing sparkpeople after i had lost ten. i weighed in yesterday at 138, so i have officially lost 50 lbs! nuts! it took me a good month or so to get used to the lifestyle regime, as i changed my way of eating drastically. it took some time and more self-discipline than i ever thought i could muster!

    all i have is an old ipod shuffle that i definitely fill with fun, fast music for gym workouts and running. i hope to get an ipod one day, so that i can make specific playlists!

    Chicago is great, but i'm jealous that you get to live in Sweden! awesome!

    I'm pretty good about getting on here 5-6 days a week, for now at least and most of the past year or so. So if you need support or to discuss anything, I'm here!
    I really like your attitude towards improving your health and I'm highly interested in what you mean about "changing your psychology", pardon my paraphrasing.
    I have accomplished a lot of goals now through neuro-conditioning, pretty much changing my belief systems about things. It works better than anything else so far.
