The Time is NOW!!! (No really!!!)
I am 51+, and I want to stay prescription drug free in my golden years. To do that, I must make my first goal, to lose at least 15% of my body weight.
I always seem to come back to SparkPeople to get motivated. I have had a lot happen since 2006 that has led me off track. Just keep on moving, get back up and re-start. The hardest part is starting, so start, again and again and again... that's moving. I want to be an example of how its done through action, not words. My goals ...

My Goals:
1."I want to tuck my shirt in my pants and wear a nice belt, with Levi 501 jeans." I think that pretty much sums it up... I want to "feel" good in my body again. I want to wear real clothes again, and care more about my style.
My Program:
To Make Goals Happen:
AT LEAST 40min of Physical Activity a day, (5 days per week). With that said:
1)water 64+ ounces a day
2)Step w/weights 30+ min/2X week, and/or more (walk the dogs 5+ days/40+ min)
3)free weights/2X week
4)No soda ("We don't need no stinkin' soda!")
5) stay 1550 cal or less/5 days a week
6)record PHYSICAL ACTIVITY in SparkPeople log
Personal Information:
I am very family focused! I am from the LA area, and would like to spend more time at the beach. I like to walk the dog. Some hobbies are crochet, art, listening to music, games, watching TV (doesn't everyone), and now freshwater fish (20gal tank). I really have only one motivation and that is my 16yr old daughter. I want her to be a better person than me, so I try to be a better person than I really am.
Other Information:
I live in one of the best places in the world for outdoor weather, yet no one goes outdoors? So Cal is a way of life, ...but really, I don't see that happening except on TV. I want to live that lifestyle, active!
