Saw your comment about PF, I too have been dealing with this since I had major back surgery in 2001. The surgery changed my gait and that's how it began for me and it still bothers me from time to time.
I took up running last Fall at 53 yrs old and ran two 5K's, I plan on running many more this year. Believe in yourself and remind yourself of your goals and you will be amazed at what you can accomplish!
