I'm a 44 year wife and mother of two gorgeous girls. I want to show my girls how important being healthy is. I know I will never be a supermodel (and I don't want to be!), so I want to show them that beauty is in the eye of the beholder...and that they are beautiful!

I believe that everyone can make a positive change in themselves, is just takes the right motivator. My motivation is my family. I don't want to leave them behind.

I believe that this is a journey not a road race. It doesn't matter if it takes me a little bit longer to get to my goal, as long as I have a goal and way to get there.

I believe that food and exercise must work together. There is no quick fix. There is no magic pill. You must move more and eat less.

I believe that we have to make smart choices for the fuel that goes in our body. I believe that everyone has an opportunity to determine what is the right fuel for their body.

I believe that fuel can taste good and still be fuel. I believe that God gave us taste buds to enjoy the fuel that we put in our body.

I have started running and I love it. It is such a high to compete...against myself. I am not competing against anyone but myself.

After a really rough summer of not making good choices, I rebooted myself and will acheive my goals. Right now, I have to re-evaluate my food choices and why I fell off the wagon. I know what choices to make and will do that again. My goal is to be at my goal weight by my 45th birthday in February.

My Goals:
I believe that this is a lifestyle change and not a diet. In order to live longer and healthier, I need to modify what goes in and not be so inactive.

My goal on 8/29/11 is to lose 43 lbs by 2/4. I will acheive this goal by making smart food choices including as much raw food as possible and 5x week cardio. On 9/12 I will add st after my elbow is healed.

My Program:
I am trying to eat more fruits and vegetables and fresher foods. I'm trying to avoid the inside of the grocery store and stay on the outside!

I am keeping my caloric intake between 1200 and 1400 calories a day.

I am doing cardio (walking/treadmill/elliptical) 5x week.

I will add st in some form on 9/12

Personal Information:
I'm a midwestern of the KU Jayhawks and lover of college basketball.

Other Information:
I love to read and I love the beach. Unfortunately there is no beach where I live!

I love movies too.
