Hi, and welcome to my Sparkpage! I've been at SparkPeople since 2005 - and I've come to realize that the quest for good health and weightloss is a journey. There are no 'quick fixes' - and there will be ups and downs along the way. A lot of it is mental - having a goal, a plan, staying focused and never giving up.

I find I am most successful when I do a 'streak' - an ongoing series of days where I track the basics. So, I started a SparkTeam called 'Streak to Success' and I'd love for you to join me there if you think it would help you toward your goal, too! You will find a link to it in my Spark Teams list. My Goals:
My overall goal is to lose 60 pounds and to become heatlhier and stronger and of course, to look better and have fun buying smaller clothes again!

Accomplishing THIS is WORTH the effort!!!


My Program:
Keeping track of my calories , exercise minutes, water and fruits/veggies everyday. For exercise I mostly do a combo of water aerobics, walking and bike riding. I use lots of charts, stickers, etc. to keep me motivated (see my picture gallery).



Personal Information:
I live in Georgia with my wonderful husband. We have two grown sons who are 28 and 32. I work 3 days a week as an administrative assistant. I like to cook, read, scrapbook family photos and spend time with my wonderful husband who I've been married to for 35 years. .

    Hey, Happy New Year! I was checking out my friends' pages looking for inspiration and direction for some of my own goals, feeling groggy from wayyy too little sleep (lots of young adults and teens here last night and we played games until 3 AM) and an oncoming cold. I hope you are well and enjoying the first day of this new year the Lord has blessed us with.

    How are you doing? I haven't seen you on the team lately? Are you in full Christmas mode? I expect your little dog is enjoying the excitement. We are having a private weight loss thing here at the house and let me tell you, it is embarrassing to have to admit to your daughter that you gained weight (I did last week!) and have the others in the contest know. I did better this week. My husband is on a juice fast which he does periodically, and he is whipping us all. BUT, he has to come back to the real world in the next week or so, and then I will be enlisted to try and help him make wise choices. I hope you get to spend time with the boys over the holidays. Do you have pecan trees around you?

    How is that for a hodge-podge paragraph. I would be marking it all up if my kids tried to turn in something like that:-)
