Thanks for the blog comment. Wow, people are seriously screwed up!! I know that people are often at a loss for words or how to appropriately handle the death of a loved one that was close to their friends but to stop talking to you is just ridiculous! Why don't people understand that simply sitting beside you and holding your hand is enough sometimes. My friend's 17 year old daughter was killed in a car accident in January. She wasn't returning calls or emails to people and every 3 weeks I check in with her and make it clear that as time passes and people offering their support wanes, I will be there...like a fungus. LOL She said she was very grateful and we're going to meet for lunch. Sometimes that's all people need is to know that their profound loss isn't going to affect friendships in a negative way. That should be a given but as you've experienced, it's not. My condolences for your loss and my prayer that you never have to face a situation like that with insensitive people around you.

Thanks for the comment on my "Interrupted" blog! We want to do NYC when we're at goal because we're going to do a "What Not to Wear" style shopping spree! Woot! But yes, we can't wait to go there. We're going to do a 10 day haul. We're going Niagara Falls in October but I'd love to travel to other parts at some point. Quebec/Montreal would be nice. Thanks for the all of the suggestions, I'm definitely considering all suggestions. For now we've decided to plan two trips. One to Scotland and the other to San Francisco and unless something else hits our fancy, we'll choose in December. Thanks for all of the great ideas! Hope you're ready for a great week!
