The Winter 5% Challenge will begin Jan. 11! I'm so ready! These holiday pounds need to come off in a hurry! The challenges are so much fun and they have motivated me to lose so much weight while enjoying myself and making some wonderful new friends!

Winter is not a favorite of mine. The weather here can never decide if it's going to be warm or cool, or even cold. Tomorrow is a prime example. The winds will start out from the NW and it will be in the low 40's. By mid-afternoon, the winds will have shifted to the S and it will warm up to 60! So I will start the day in warm clothes and have to change my shirt by the afternoon. A typical winter day....

For fitness I will be walking on the indoor track at the YMCA, and lifting weights twice a week.

For diet, I will be eating lean meats, lots of vegetables and some fruit, and whole grains. Since it's winter, I will also be making homemade soups. That way I can control the sodium. Everything in moderation is the way I meet food challenges!
