OK, I could go on and on about all that I know about myself and my habits, etc. I probably could write a book on diet, exercise, and weightloss. I know these two things:

1. I hate spending this much time on all this kind of stuff (truly, the only thing I enjoy is spending time with you). I hate counting calories. I hate eating right. I hate exercising. I would much rather be spending time reading the Bible, sharing God's love with people, spending time with my family, etc.

2. If I don't spend some time doing the above things, I will be spending time managing diabetes or other health concerns. AND I hate going to the doctor even more than the things I hate above.

My weightloss struggles really boil down to two things:

1. business
2. lack of self-control

That said, here is what I really know: GOD is bigger than the things of this world. He gave me the HOLY SPIRIT which is better than Jesus walking beside me. The BIBLE says so. The Holy Spirit lives inside me. I NEED to tap into that power for EVERYTHING in this life.

This morning I was reading a book by Francis Chan, called Crazy Love. I highly recommend it. At the end of it, it asks the simple question of, "What do I want to be doing when Christ comes back?" I want to be serving and loving other people or worshipping God with praise music. I do feel like I can serve and love other people the best when I am healthy and have lots of energy.

So...I need to spend a little time each day, to get to the big goal...which is just to be healthy. I don't need to weigh any certain small number, I just want to be a healthy weight. I want to honor God with my body.

My plan.....

1. Eat a lot less. Eat 1/2 of what I usually do. Cut the sugars, white carbs, etc. Lots of fruits, veggies, and lean proteins.

2. Walk/with the goal of eventually jogging 30 minutes 6 mornings a week. 2 15 minute sessions of more cardio or strength training 6 days a week.
